Extracurricular Life

Braeburn Kisumu maximises opportunities for children beyond the classroom. Enhancing childhood experiences helps develop well-rounded individuals with a wide range of skills for the future.

The extracurricular programme supports individual development. All students can participate in extracurricular activities, which provide academic, physical, and artistic opportunities in addition to the curriculum.

Sport

Our ‘Sport for All’ policy ensures that children of all abilities can participate in competitive sports. We arrange interhouse competitions in athletics, football, rugby, hockey, swimming, cross-country, netball, cricket, and rounders. Training camps, which include land and water sessions, are available during school holidays.

Creative Arts

We aim to develop the whole child and encourage students to discover and nurture their talents. Our cocurricular activities include needlework, cookery, Design Technology, Drama, and Music, including private lessons.

Our Community

At Braeburn Kisumu International School, we take great pride in our strong sense of community. We believe that education is most effective when schools and families work closely together, and we actively nurture this partnership.

Through parent-teacher conferences, reports, open days, and weekly newsletters, we maintain open lines of communication and celebrate the many achievements of our students.

Student Leadership

Students can hone their leadership skills through the Student Council, and by becoming prefects or house captains in the upper years of the Primary and Secondary Schools. The Model United Nations and President’s Awards offer our students real-life opportunities to learn and excel in forums outside of school.
