Early Years
The Early Years Unit welcomes children aged 2 to 5 years. We offer a secure, settled, and friendly environment with experienced, specialised teachers who provide the attention each child needs. Using carefully structured and themed lessons, the children are given the time and space to learn through fun and exciting experiences.
We follow the UK Early Years Foundation Stage framework, including the Letters and Sounds programme in Foundation Stage 1 (ages 3-4 years) and Foundation Stage 2 (ages 4-5 years). In Foundation Stage 2, children take reading books home twice a week, following the well-respected Oxford Reading Tree scheme.
Parents receive information outlining the theme for the term or half-term. This allows families to get involved and support classroom learning at home, helping to enrich their child’s experience and enjoyment of the chosen topic.
Specialist educators teach timetabled sessions for Physical Education, Swimming, and Music.

The garden includes a playground and sand pit, where children can develop their physical skills and confidence. Our resident rabbit and tortoise offer opportunities to learn about caring for animals, as well as encouraging the children to explore empathy and responsibility.
