Theme: INNOVATE, INTEGRATE, INITIATE

7th February 2022

BKIS students took part in the 28th Annual MSMUN Conference last week (1st - 4th February 2022) albeit virtually. This year’s theme was; INNOVATE, INTEGRATE, INITIATE. For the duration of the conference, delegates were exposed to talks during the General Assemblies from various dignitaries focusing on building leadership and resilience in the new normal.

This year, we were pleased both our resolutions passed the ever-competitive and rigorous Resolution Assessment Committee (RAC) which by no means is an easy task, congratulations delegates!

BKIS proudly represented Croatia and Uruguay. The delegation for Croatia comprised Ashley (Ambassador and Human Rights Committee), Aryanna (Technology Committee), Dhara (Health Committee), and Emmaculate (Ecology Committee). The delegation for Uruguay comprised Levi (Ambassador and Ecology committee), Sydney (Technology Committee), Francis (Health Committee), and Hawi (Human Rights Committee).

Our students had a chance to Lobby, Amend, lead and debate resolutions that they had written last term. It entails rigorous research and diverse knowledge in over 100 countries. The objective of the club is to develop the confidence of students by enriching skills in research, presentation, debating, lobbying, networking, problem-solving, and diplomacy.

Special mention to Hawi and Ashley as they led debates on their passed resolutions in the Human Rights Committee, a true embodiment of our Braeburn circles.
