40TH ANNUAL EAMUN CONFERENCE

INNOVATE, INTEGRATE, INITIATE

The students are virtually taking part in the 40th Annual EAMUN conference this week (14th - 18th February). This year’s theme is; INNOVATE, INTEGRATE, INITIATE. For the duration of the conference, delegates will be exposed to talks during the General Assemblies from various dignitaries focusing on building leadership and resilience in the new normal.

This year, we are pleased that both our resolutions passed the ever-competitive and rigorous Resolution Assessment Committee (RAC) which by no means is an easy task, congratulations delegates!

BKIS has been representing Austria and Mauritius. The delegation for Austria comprises Maaya Bhamra (Ambassador and Economics committee), Max Nduda (Ecology Committee), Mohammed Nassir (Human Rights Committee) and Fidel Wasike (Political Committee). The delegation for Mauritius comprises Aiden Muturi (Ambassador and Ecology committee), Tyler Ochieng’ (Human Rights Committee), Pete Mc’Obewa (Economics Committee) and Mohammed Rady (Human Rights Committee).

Our students have a chance to Lobby, Amend, lead and debate resolutions that they had written the last term. It entails rigorous research and diverse knowledge in over 100 countries. The objective of the club is to develop the confidence of students by enriching skills in research, presentation, debating, lobbying, networking, problem solving and diplomacy.

Special mention to Tyler and Max as they will lead the debate on their passed resolutions in the Human Rights Committee and Ecology Committees respectively, a true reflection of our Braeburn circles- Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens and Learners Enjoying Success!
