BKIS Inter-School Spelling Bee Challenge

The BKIS Interschool KS2 Spelling Bee challenge was yet another engaging and thrilling experience. Our BKIS students got an opportunity to compete with their peers from Jalaram and Kisumu Junior Academy on Saturday 4th of March at Braeburn Kisumu. It is great to receive encouraging feedback from the participants and we would wish to congratulate our very own Saahil (Year 6) and Zohaib (Year 4) for winning the overall outstanding spellers’ award. Many thanks to Jalaram Academy and Kisumu Junior Academy for gracing the challenge.

I am Saahil from year 6. It was amazing interacting with the other students from Jalaram and Kisumu Junior Academy. I was so proud of wining the outstanding speller trophy and I felt I had done an outstanding job. I feel that this will help me chase more other trophies in the future and will also help me improve my Spelling ability. From the Spelling Bee experience, I have learnt that teamwork is really key and it is always important to appreciate the people around you.
I am Muhammad Zohaib from year 4. I had a spectacular experience meeting the other schools (Jalaram Academy and Kisumu Junior Academy.) I felt a bit nervous and I kept on gasping at the start of every round. When the time for the awards came, I felt so proud to get the trophy. This will definitely help me in the SPAG exams. Thanks to my Spelling Bee team, my teachers and my parents for encouraging me.
