BOOK WEEK (31st Feb. - 4th March)

14th March 2022

“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers.” ― Charles W. Eliot

Book Week was a special week at BKIS. It was a week to tuck into books and try out some new ones. A good time for the students to go on an adventure themselves - in classrooms, Library and the field.

It commenced with Buddy Reading - where older students went to the younger students' class to read with them a book and DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) moment sessions. Then fun reading activities, storytelling sessions and Oxford publishers’ books sale followed. The grand finale happened on Friday 4th March, with an electrifying Spelling Bee session preceded by a favourite character from a book dress-up.
