BRAEBURN SPORTS FESTIVAL (BSF)

Braeburn Sports Festival is a two days annual event for the gifted and talented sporty students from year 10 to 13, organised by Braeburn Garden Estate.

This event revolves around vigorous sporting activities with modified rules, mixed-gender teams and equal opportunities for all participants across the Braeburn group of schools.

All the activities, rules and requirements are disclosed to the students ten minutes before the start of the festival, with the belief that all of them are good if not the best in all sports and can be flexible enough to adapt to new skills, post good performance and still have fun.

Benjamin, Nickson, Levi, Collins, Julia, Vanessa and Don, showcased their prowess by fully taking part in all activities and giving their best performances.

Below are write-ups from Don and Vanessa on their experiences:

Vanessa: “Braeburn Sports Festival was a challenging experience and really motivating, in terms of my sporting abilities. The fact that we were put in teams with different schools made sure that we made new friends and put our team working skills to use. It was a fun experience which definitely pushed us to our limits and made us realize that we can go further if we work hard and as a team”.

Don: “Braeburn Sports Festival was an amazing experience where we got to socialise with several other students from different Braeburn schools as well as challenge ourselves through vigorous exercises through which we had to co-operate with each other and portray our teamwork skills. During the festival, we got to show our sporting abilities and learn from our peers from other schools”.
