During the half-term break, High school students travelled to Naivasha and visited the Stockman Rozen Kenya Limited within Oserian Business Park where sustainable agriculture is practised. The firm applies biotechnology to develop seedlings using tissue culture technology. This was a testament to the application of Biology knowledge to contribute to the global food security agenda. Our team was super enthralled!
We also got the opportunity to study Sustainable Energy production where our students were able to learn the difference between Green Energy and Renewable Energy resources.
We studied the process of geothermal energy production as well as solar energy generation within the Oserian power plants.
The Geography department was equally not left behind.
Our learners were taken through a practical study of various characteristics of a river drainage, measuring the river velocity at different sections of the river and its eroding effects.
We crowned up the exciting trip with a leisure visit of the Geothermal spa within the Hells gate national park where our learners enjoyed swimming in the warm water, as well as a game drive in the park. During the nights …. we had campfire moments reminiscing the day's events.
