Fs2 children explored in number addition activities and role playing the story of Rapunzel.
Year 2 had fun as they learned about fish farming and how plants grow during their field trip. Play is meaningful. Children play to make sense of the world around them, and to find meaning in an experience by connecting it to something already known. Through play, children express and expand their understanding of their experiences. They later had a fabulous play session at Fun Scapes.
The year 3 students have investigated how mirrors work using a mirror maze activity. They have also described how shadows are formed after carrying out an experiment about a puppet shadow show
This week in Year 7, we have been focusing on learning basic programming essentials using Python programming language. They enjoyed creating a simple python program- “The Toxic Jungle” using python and Tynker platforms as ways to reinforce concepts learned.
In year 8, students explored data and database structures. They have been able to identify areas where databases can be used in day-to-day life. As practical lessons, students have created simple flat file database structures including tables, queries, forms and reports. In order to understand the importance and application of database management software in an organisation, they have used MS. Office Access to create a hospital management system database project.
The year 10 students have been looking at the system life cycle in ICT. They went through stages of the system life cycle which include: Analysis, Design, Developing and Testing, Implementation, Implementation, Documentation and Evaluation.
