THE CHESS CLUB

Chess is a game of the mind engaging the visual information-processing part of the brain to find patterns and the analytical side to pick the best logical move. This club has been having a series of sessions in school and felt confident enough to give it a go at a competitive platform. They made a move to sign up in the Inter-Braeburn Chess Tournament at Braeside School and what an experience that was!
"This first Inter-School chess competition was very interesting. There were challenges against some people but others were quite easy. Overall, everyone did well at the competition and I am proud of my BKIS Team. Thank you to Braeburn Imani, Mombasa Kisumu and Braeside for making this a very nice experience." Alexis
The students managed to clinch the overall second position. Well after this the only moves they are making are better ones after the previous! Congratulations boys and girls for carrying the BKIS flag way up!
