This week has been a special week to the teaching fraternity; a week when the world celebrated the Teachers! Thursday 5th October 2017 was the World Teachers’ Day under the theme of “Teaching in Freedom, Empowering Teachers”. Thank you all to those who remembered to send encouraging messages to our dedicated teachers for the good impact they are creating in our students lives. One of the objectives of the day was:

NYASA SWIMMING GALA
Last Saturday we had a big group of BKIS swimmers take part in the termly swimming gala organized by the local KSF branch at Aga Khan Primary School. The turnout was just amazing. Our swimmers showed a lot of resilience in their many races. Their level of commitment and dedication was commendable. Thank you to our parents who stayed on to cheer and support the BKIS team. It is also important to mention the great support received from our teachers. We had Mrs. Njihia, Ms. Irene, Mr.Ndungu, Mr.Rwenyo and Ms. Inyanje gracing the occasion in the absence of Mr. Azenga who was away on official duty in Narobi. What a good way to show TEAM work!
BRAEBURN SPORTS FESTIVAL
Our seniors were away in Nairobi last week to take part in this annual event. It is always a great opportunity to expose our learners to competitive sports and especially to interact with other students from Braeburn Family. Thank you Mr.Azenga and Ms.Mukui for leading the team to Nairobi.
