We welcome back all our students, teachers and extended families. It is our hope that you had a good Easter break and ready to have a strong finish of the academic year.
Kisumu Children's Music concert
Over the Easter break, a few of our boys and girls participated in the Kisumu Children's Music concert. It was great to see their confidence amongst their peers as they displayed their passion for Music. A big thank you to Ms. Buluma and other music teachers for enabling our students to be part of the event. We can not wait for the next one!
Toyota Dream Car Art Contest
Our School participated in the 15th Toyota Dream Car Art Competition this year. This is an annual contest in which children across the globe are involved in expressing their creativity and imagination artistically in the car that Toyota should produce. I must say, a big thank you to all the students who participated in this.
The results for the National round were announced over the Easter break and we are glad to mention that Dhara S. won a gold award in the 8-11 years old category which had over 500 entries and also helped the BKIS team earn the school a cheque worth Ksh.100,000 ! The national win automatically takes her entry to the Global competition in which if it goes through then she will get to go to Japan for Prize giving ceremony. We are wishing her the very best in this.
