Year One students have been learning about classifications of animals in the animal kingdom. We learnt that animals are classified into five different groups namely mammals, fish, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
They identified the group an animal belongs to by its features and classified animals according to their groups. They also learned about the different diets animals eat. Well, this topic earned the class a trip to Impala Park to see what animals are there and which class they fall into. They were able to see a lion, ostrich and of course what would impala park be without an Impala among other animals.
